Console Commands

Developer console reference for Subnautica 2 — search by name or effect, or filter by category. Click any command to copy it.
Opening the console: Press the backtick key (`) in-game. Commands may disable achievements on the active save file. All commands below are built into the game, but not every one is guaranteed to work in the current build — some may be disabled, patched, or behave differently depending on your version.
AddTagGameplay Tags

Apply a gameplay condition tag to your Pioneer. Each Cheat.* tag activates a specific mode. Use RemoveTag to reverse it.

attrAttributes

Set a survival stat to an exact value between 0 and 100. Use to refill meters without enabling god mode.

Toggle free placement mode — base modules snap anywhere regardless of normal placement rules.

Toggle the structural support constraint. With this off, base modules can be placed without requiring adjacent supports.

Set your damage output multiplier. Useful for one-shotting creatures during testing or adjusting difficulty.

Equip an item directly into your hand slot. Common equipment: scanner, knife, builder, wakemaker, oxygentank, fins, habitat_builder.

Toggle instant base-module placement — removes the placement timer. Pass 1 to enable.

Toggle a large swim-speed boost. Run again to return to normal speed.

Freeze the day/night cycle at the current time of day. Run again to resume.

Grant a gameplay ability by its internal identifier. Primarily for testing damage and combat systems.

Toggle invincibility. You take no damage from creatures, depth pressure, or the Bloom, and survival meters stop draining.

Teleport to any of the 155 named waypoints. Each location is a specific point of interest across the five biomes.

Toggle creature blindness — all fauna treat you as absent. Aggro is not triggered and no attacks are initiated.

Instantly kill your Pioneer and respawn at the nearest biobed. Useful for resetting position or testing respawn state.

Remove a previously applied gameplay condition tag from your Pioneer.

Execute one of the built-in macro files. Each macro runs a sequence of commands in order. Multi-word macro names require quotes.

Set your movement speed multiplier. 1 is default; 2 doubles speed. Values below 1 slow you down.

Display an in-engine performance overlay. fps shows frame rate; unit shows per-frame CPU/GPU thread timing.
